The Aftermath Of The 2006 Midterm Election

It's been over three weeks since the 2006 midterm election, and the dust is starting to settle. These next two years leading up to the 2008 election are going to be very interesting to say the least. There are going to be three things that are going to be on the minds of the American people for the next couple of years, and it is going to be make or break time for both the newly elected Democratic majority as well as a Republican party that just received a well deserved vote of no confidence from the electorate.

The first thing on our minds is going to be what is the true agenda of the Democrats. Number one, will they force Socialism and its economic misery on America? Secondly, were we intentionally deceived by them running Conservative Democrats in order to get the George Soros controlled neo-Marxists in power? The Communist Party USA, the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Socialist Workers Party, the Workers World Party, and other international Leftist/Communist organizations are ecstatic over the Democrats' win. Read their websites. What's in store now? Will the election of these Conservatives prevent this from happening, or will they be forced to go along with the Soros program, so they don't find their campaign funds cut off during the next election in two years? Third, how will they handle national security, illegal immigration, and the war? Are they going to set us up so that we can not defend ourselves internationally, or internally? This is the goal of many on the Hate America Left, and there is much hate America big money from international Communist organizations that contribute to the Democratic party. Their "plan" is to set us up to perish as a nation in order to advance the concept of a Socialist one world government under the UN. Are the American people so naive, so in denial, or so uniformed, that they can not see this happening right under their noses? Will this emasculating of the United States start with "cut and run" from Iraq? What will be the international consequences both to America's security and America's standing in the world? Both of these things are intertwined.

Now for the Republicans and George W. Bush. This was your election to lose, and you did. Even though the Democrats didn't deserve to win, you did deserve to lose. While you had good intentions, you didn't come through on your promises. As the country as a whole has become more conservative, you failed to embrace conservative principles. No, it's not about Abortion either. A woman's right to choose was decided over thirty years ago, and since almost 80% of the Republican party membership and about 75% of the Democratic party membership(Yes, that's right) are pro-choice, it's a non-issue. Ultraconservative South Dakota voters just proved that by defeating the most restrictive antiabortion law in the country by a 10 point spread.

Let's look at the previous three issues from what you should have done. First of all, is the Socialism lite that you call Compassionate Conservatism. It's stupid. Yes, you reduced taxes. This put more money in all of our pockets, not just the rich as the Democrats would like for us to believe. You didn't force the Liberals to define "rich." Is it anyone who makes over $30,000 per year? Those tax cuts also spearheaded a wonderful economic recovery after the recession caused by the dot com bubble burst and the blow to the economy as a result of the terrorist attack on 9/11. For this you need to be commended. The DOW went over 12,000 and unemployment is 4.4%. Thank you. Well done! However, you didn't present this adequately to the American people. The Bully Pulpit was yours, and you didn't use it. Not only that, you failed to lock horns with your detractors and their mouth organ, the Left-wing Liberal controlled Mainstream Press. You had the facts on your side to slam dunk the opposition, and you didn't do it. You were too nice, and the Democrats walked all over you...and you let them. That's not leadership.

Where you also messed up was with entitlements. You have spent more money on social programs than any administration in history. You failed to reform Social Security. Social Security reform is not a new concept. It was seriously considered during the previous administration. Both President Clinton and Vice President Gore felt that Social Security needed to be reformed through partial privatization, which was exactly your same plan Mr. President. Why didn't you mention this? That would have taken the wind out of the sails of the Democrats in regards to this issue, and it would have gone through the House and Senate and became law. The Democrats wouldn't have dared oppose it, since it originated during a Democratic administration. They would have ended up with egg on their faces if they had, and it would have solidified your power base with the American people. You blew it.

You enacted a costly Medicare Prescription Drug Plan that really does nothing, but cost billions in taxpayer dollars. Health care is a very important issue with the American people, and going for real medical reform, starting with deregulating the business end, not the safety end, of the medical industry, coupled with realistic tort reform to rein in ambulance chasers like former John Kerry running mate and former US Senator, John Edwards, would have forced competition among insurance and drug companies driving the price of medical services downward. Health care providers would have welcomed the fact that they would have had more time to spend with their patients and less time doing paperwork and being forced to practice defensive medicine, in order to protect themselves from frivolous lawsuits. They suffer through this, while having to pay astronomical malpractice insurance premiums too. These things have driven many good medical providers out of business. While some of us understand the concept of medical savings accounts, most people are confused by the details. You didn't explain things adequately. Do the American people really want Hillary Health/Socialized/Rationed medical care? Is this now going to be the alternative? I hope not.

How about the asinine No Child Left Behind Act? What has it accomplished besides costing billions of taxpayer dollars, creating piles of paperwork for teachers, and done little to increase student academic performance? Nothing, nothing, and more nothing. It's exactly what it is. It's an "Act." Our public education system continues to be nothing but a means to indoctrinate young people into the realm of Collectivist Socialist thinking, with a continuation of the "dumbing down" process that has been the be all and end all of the public education "industry" since the early 1960s. It's also driven many good teachers out of the education profession, creating a teacher shortage. Nice going Educrats. You should call yourselves "Central Planning R Us."

Republicans, you fell right into the Soros/Pelosi/Carville trap. Starting with the 2000 Election, the Democratic leadership started softening up the American people with the "Big Lie" concept of, "Tell the same thing over and over and over until the people believe it, whether it is true or not." If President Bush failed, they capitalized on the failure. When he did well, they called it a failure. If the economy surged ahead, they called the economy a failure, etc. The Democrats have the Mainstream Media in their back pocket to triumph their message. They have many of the American people convinced that the New York Times,CNN, and the media outlet of choice for the self-righteous enlightened Elites, NPR, are nonpartisan and that Fox News and the "Moonie Paper," The Washington Times, are propaganda media outlets for the "Fascist" Right.

Republicans, why do you need to go to a section of the Department Of Defense Website where the DOD publishes their demands for retractions of false information about the Iraq war found daily in the Main Stream Media? I go there on a daily basis, and the facts presented are not what you read in the papers. For one thing, why don't you hear anything about the good that our men and women in Iraq are doing? How about the jobs being created for the Iraqis? How about the fact that electricity has been restored to much better than service was during the Saddam regime? How about the cable TV, satellite dish services, hospitals and schools that have been built? Why is this information not being shared with the American people by the President and other Republican leaders on a daily basis? It's obviously not classified if it's posted by the DOD on the Internet for all to see. You failed to communicate, and when the Democrats and their conspirators and traitors lied, you didn't burn them for it. Why not? This proves something that I've believed for a long time: I've always felt that the naivety of the Republicans is that they assume that the American people are smart enough to figure things out for themselves. The Democrats know better. They should know. Liberals, most of whom who are Democrats, deliberately created the "dumbed down" public education failure system we currently enjoy, that is producing an unacceptable amount of functional illiterates. We spend more money each year per pupil than any other westernized nation in the world, so why are we sixteenth among those western nations in student knowledge and performance? Is this for the benefit of the pseudo-intellectual Elites in order to solidify their power over the rest of us? Thanks to their "management" of Education and Social Services, these Closet Communists have created over the past 50 years, a society of Americans that are spoiled, apathetic, don't care about or understand the issues, and assume that what they read in the papers or hear on CNN is true. They capitalize on it. Republicans, you should have done the same thing. You need to become street fighters like the Democrats, and start growing some balls. You've fallen victim to Political Correctness. Shame on you!

Now let's talk about the deception of running Conservative Democrats against Republicans in the South and Midwest in order to get the Far Left leadership of the Democratic party in power. It worked. However, it's a double edged sword. Now that the Pelosi gang is in power, they are between a rock and a hard place. They might think that now they can start implementing policies that will move the United States toward Socialism. However, the American people voted for CONSERVATIVE Democrats even though the Mainstream Media has called them "Moderates". Here's the problem: Those freshman Conservative Democrats are not going to have any power for a few years. The Far Left leadership of the Democratic party is going to control them. However, the catch-22 is this: If the powers that be in the Democratic party want to hold on to that power, they are going to have to enact policies that are mainstream and acceptable to the majority of the American people, especially to the Independents who decide most elections, and elected those Conservative Democrats to office. If not, those Conservative Democrats will be replaced with Conservative Republicans in 2008. At the same time, if the Liberal leadership of the Democratic party doesn't cave into its ideological and financial power base, the Radical Left, they are going to lose that power base and the funding from the George Soros gang of Marxist billionaires and Marxist/Socialist special interest groups, and the Republicans are going to win back those seats in 2008. The Pelosi gang is going to have to walk on egg shells for the next two years trying to please everyone. Plus, I'm hoping that President Bush will suddenly find that there is ink in the veto pen, and the Democrats don't have the votes in either the House or Senate to override a veto. In another words, nothing will get done for the next two years, and the American people will get pissed off, and be looking for change again in 2008.

President Bush has nothing to lose. He can't be reelected and Vice President Dick Cheney has no desire to run for President. The job is up for grabs in two years. The other part of the double edged sword for the Democrats is the fact that those new Conservative Democrats are going to be the power base of the Democratic Party in about ten years, and if the Democrats gain more seats in 2008, those seats are going to go to more Conservative Democrats. The Liberal leadership can restrain those newcomers for a few years, but it will be at their political peril. Not only that, those Lefties are all getting a little long in the tooth, and ten years from now, most of them won't be in office anymore.

Except for the blue areas surrounding the big cities, America is becoming more conservative. The Average American wants a great country where hard work is rewarded with success. He or she is sick and tired of excuses. Here's how I see it as an Average American, and I know many that share my viewpoint: I want a great country where everyone has the chance to PURSUE the American Dream. I want equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. If I work hard and become successful, I don't want to be punished through high taxes in order to redistribute my hard earned money to some lazy crack addicted bastard in the ghetto, who won't lift a finger to better him or herself. I also want something done about the illegals that are coming up here and I want something done now! No Amnesty. Here's a plan for tying illegal immigration in with the underclass in the ghetto.

Let's take the able bodied welfare recipients, not the disabled or infirm who truly need social services, but the lazy bums that make up a large part of that underclass, and put them to work in those private sector jobs in agriculture, construction, and the hospitality industry that are now going to the illegal aliens. Let them start working their way up the ladder earning the American Dream. No more entitlements for lazy people. If you don't work, you don't eat. It's that simple. In addition, go after the employers that hire illegals and fine them Draconian amounts of money if they hire undocumented workers. Create a labor shortage at the bottom end of the economic scale, and then fill it with unskilled American labor, not foreign labor. We may have to subsidize their lives for a few years until they become self-sufficient, but that's a far cry from subsidizing their lives for generation after generation while they refuse to work. We need to undo the damage caused by the War On Poverty, which hasn't done anything to end poverty. All it's done is throw money at the problem, with most of that money going to the salaries of the save the world, do gooder, Socialists that manage those programs. Do you think that they are going to be willing to change their way of doing business for the "common good"? Hell no. There is too much money to be made keeping poor people poor.

Solving the illegal alien problem requires two approaches. First of all, we need border security to keep out people that don't belong here. Building a fence along both borders is not a desire, it's a necessity. It should have been built starting the day after 9/11. Keeping out undesirables who may be terrorists, and keeping out those that are going to clog our social services industries, our hospital emergency rooms, and our prison systems is necessary for the survival of our nation. National Security in its various forms needs to be a number one priority. We have to make it difficult for illegals to come here, and then make it even more difficult for them to stay. If they can't get across the border, and they can't find work, shelter, or medical care if they are here illegally, they won't be so tempted to come here in the first place.

The second part of the approach involves good old fashioned Free Market Capitalism. Prosperous countries tend be stable countries politically. Prosperous countries also pollute less and have less diseases. I don't believe for one minute that there are limited amounts of capital that need to be redistributed from the haves to the have nots. The have nots can become the haves through the creation of wealth that comes from economic development and a strong work ethic. I believe that the creation of wealth has unlimited potential. It's the old saying, "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime." We need to restructure our foreign aid policies so that the concentration is on "teaching a man to fish." Take Mexico for example. Mexico is a very wealthy country, but the wealth is concentrated among a small group of Socialist Elites rule the roost. There is a very small middle class. Most of the people down there are poor. The Mexican poor are a large potential workforce with a strong work ethic that can't get work down there, so they come here and work back breaking jobs for low wages. There is no doubt in my mind as to the work ethic of the Mexican people. They just need opportunities, and the western industrialized nations need to work with Mexico to develop the economic potential in Mexico. Why would they come here if they can get what they want there? Let's do the same thing with the rest of the Third World. It will take decades to accomplish it, and most of us won't see it in our lifetimes, but the time to start is now. Global Capitalism will enrich the world. Global Socialism will only enslave the word under the thumb of a cabal of wealthy Socialist Elites and their "Fellow Travelers." Democrats, what IS your plan for the global economy we are in? Republicans, what WAS your plan? I'm still confused.

Lastly, let's talk national security and the war on terror. President Bush, why have the individuals who leaked classified information to the Liberal Mainstream Media not been ferreted out, prosecuted and executed for treason? With all due respect sir, we are at war. We need to start treating this war like a war, and not fighting it in a politically correct fashion with one hand tied behind our back. You can not deal with savage barbarians diplomatically. They understand one thing and one thing only—brute force. They need to be destroyed. Why didn't we use that brute force? Win the hearts and minds later like we did in German and Japan following World War II with the Marshall Plan, and with General Douglas MacArthur's economic rebuilding of Japan into the economic power that it is today. However just like World War II, first things first. It's not "Mission Accomplished."

Democrats, what is your plan? Cut and run? Withdraw by a certain date? How about doing what the Republicans failed to do by stepping things up and getting the job done once and for all? Yea I know, you'll lose your Left Wing power base. Which would you rather have, that spoiled brat elitist power base or a power base made up of the majority of the American People? I think the answer to that one is a no brainer.

The Democrats now are in a position where they are going to have to shit or get off the pot. They can't sit there and whine like spoiled little children anymore. It's time for them to become adults. The Republicans and the Average Americans are watching with very critical eyes. Let's see how they handle national security, terrorism, immigration, and the economy. I just hope that they do the right thing.
