Here's some info for all you music fans. The Surf Club is remaining open for now under new ownership. There will be no jam sessions or music during the week, but they have some great entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Check out their new website www.surfclublive.com for a schedule of upcoming events.

Also, starting this Thursday, 3/13/08, I will be co-hosting a jam session at the Saphire Restaurant and Bar in Laurel, MD. The club is in the shopping center at the intersection of Conte Rd. and Route 197. So far, the permanent members of the house band will be Chris Hall on bass, Roy Brooks on guitar, and me on drums.

I am also hosting the blues jam at the Old Bowie Town Grille on Wednesday evenings from 8 PM to 11 PM or later, depending on turnout. The more people show up, the later we play. I'm extremely fortunate to have a great house band consisting of Carl Cimino on keyboards, and Charles Solomon on bass. Come on out and join us for some great food, drink and musical fellowship.

Tuesdays there is now a blue jam at the Varsity Grill in College Park, Maryland, starting at 8:30 PM. The jam is hosted by world-class harmonica player, Roger Edsall. I will be joining Roger on drums, and the other members of the house band will be Dave Sherman on guitar, and Bob Mallardi on bass.
